Obituary of Charles H. "Chuck" Paul

Of St. Thomas, passed away at Chartwell Aylmer on Monday, May 1, 2023, in his 92^nd year. Husband of Shirley D. (née Dawdy) Blaxall Paul and the late Shirley E. (née Neave) Paul (1993). Father of Kerry Paul (Denise), Stephen Paul (Cindy), late Brian Paul (Peggy), and the late Shelley Groves (Jeff). Step-father of Brian Blaxall (Cathy), Rob Blaxall, Penny Blaxall, and the late Wayne Blaxall.  Grandfather of Beckie, Sean, Justine, Julianne, Ryan, and Jessica, and great grandfather of Avery, Charlie, Elaina, Poppy, Oscar, and Sebastian. Brother-in-law of Deryl and Rhonda Dawdy. Also remembered by step-daughter-in-law, Sandy Blaxall (Terry), step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by his siblings, Wilfred, Sydney, Dorothy, and Joyce.

Born in St. Thomas, December 19, 1931, he was a son of the late William and May (née Barnett) Paul. Chuck was a retired outside sales representative of London Steel and a former employee of Jaeger Machine Co. of Canada. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas where he was an Elder Emeritus, a former Roll Clerk of Session, and a former member of the Board of Managers. Chuck was a member of the Golden K Kiwanis Club, St. Thomas, having served as Vice-President. 

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Private interment of his cremated remains will be made in Elmdale Memorial Park.   Relatives and friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 55 Hincks St., St. Thomas on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.  Flowers respectfully declined.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Knox Presbyterian Church will be appreciated.
