Trixie was the last of my mother’s siblings, and during our phone chats, I was sometimes a little relentless in plying her with questions about her early family life in Carnduff, Saskatchewan. She seemed to enjoy our conversations, answering her phone with a clear and friendly “Hi, Rand.” I’ll miss her.
