So sorry to hear about your Mom... grandma!! Mary was my ward clerk in ICU at STEGH for several years! She always took me under her “wing” as one of the younger nurses is ICU.... she was also instrumental in My husband and I finding our forever home... where we have raised our 4 children and continue to live. She always made me feel welcome and special in ICU and I have had the honour to look after her in our ICU also! I remember her as fiery! Positive! And a hard worker! My condolences to you all! Mary will always have a special place in my heart!

I met Mary and her family nearly 50 years ago when my then college sweetheart was staying with the Kelly family. Mary was such a loving and dynamic soul. I loved her sense of humor and wisdom, and I always felt so welcome in their home during my visits from Michigan. From the tributes written here, it is obvious that Mary was deservedly well-loved by many. Although we are saddened by her passing, I'm sure that there is a joyful celebration in heaven.

I am very sorry to hear of Marys passing. I just spoke with her last week and was shocked to hear the news. The short time that I have known Mary she was full of energy, always thinking of others, and dropping by even if only for a moment. She was always positive, supportive, awesome at remembering who to ask after and spoke to the point when needed.
She will be especially missed by those closest to her.
Thinking of you Jim and family during this sad time. xo

Dear J.D. and Mary’s family....I grew up knowing the Carmichael family on Dalewood Dr. North Yarmouth.
As a nurse, I often saw Mary when we both worked at the STEGH. Periodically I saw her out and about and we always had a nice visit. I’ll remember her as a friendly, caring lady, who will be missed by her family and close friends...You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Love, Marg Roberts Payson.

There are no words to express how I feel right now. Mary came into my life when I was a very troubled teen in the late sixties. Len and Mary agreed to offer there home as a half way house in a new program started by STPU and I was among the first patients to to be housed. Many people here offering their condolences, speak of her loving kindness. I have never met a person that had such a lasting impact on my life than Mary Kelly. In a very short time she showed me what it was like to live in a solid, loving, caring environment, and ultimately, put me on a solid foundation for the rest of my life. I have no doubt she is a child of God and is currently resting in his Peace. To the whole Kelly Clan, I offer my sincere condolences and share your grief.

My deepest condolences John, Wayne, Allen to you and your families. I had the outmost privilege of being able to call your mom, my godmother. There was never a moment where she didn’t treat me like her own. She was always supportive and you always got a chance to hear her thoughts which I always loved!
She had great love for all of you and for each grandchild and great grandchild. She had such pride of her family and never missed a moment to extend her arm to others. She has left a great footprint of love behind and sending you all prayers of strength and great memories.
Love to JD and Pauline as well.
Always in my prayers!

Mary and Len have been our neighbours for many years. They watched our babies grow up. I worked with Mary at STEGH for many years when she was a ward clerk in ICU. A very dedicated lady, never to mince her words and usually spot on with her comments. Always a wave when she drove down the street, occasionally stopping to catch up on the latest news around the neighbourhood. Both her and Len will always be a great light in our memories as she is finally with Len happy again. We will miss our funny sweet Mary. Our deepest condolences to you, her family. Mary was an awesome, caring lady. She put caring for others ahead of her own health. During the past two years, when I was very sick and after my major surgery, she was always there for me. I know I wasn’t the only one she was checking in on.
She will really be missed by the people of Knox Presbyterian Church as well as members of Outreach Circle.
Heaven got one of the great ones.

I grew up in the old Scott/East Street neighborhood back when everyone knew each other. I've missed running into Mary recently while out shopping or doing errands and wondered how she was doing. I'm sad to know that I won't be able to stop and chat with her awhile any longer. She was a special lady and will be missed. My sincere condolences to her family.
