GILBERT, Patricia “Pat” (née Anderson), of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at the Valleyview Home on Monday, December 10, 2018, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Donald A. Gilbert (1998). Dearly loved mother of Michael (Ava McAlpine) of Union, David of St. Thomas, Stephen (Annette) of London, and Jeffery (Silvana) of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Alex, Spencer, Alexis, and Colleen. Dear sister of Brian Anderson (Penny) of Markham, and the late Robert Anderson (late Gladys). Also fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and their families. Born in Fort Erie, ON, March 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marvilla “Villa” (née Crowe) Anderson. Pat was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. in English and Music, and was an accomplished pianist. For a number of years, she worked with her husband at his dental practice. Pat was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas, and a former member of the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club and the St. Thomas Curling Club. In her earlier years, she modeled for Anderson’s, St. Thomas. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Thursday evening, December 13th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 14th. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
