Obituary of Lyla Jeanne Sharpe (nee Paddon)

SHARPE, Lyla Jeanne (née Paddon), of Kensington Village, London, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Friday, August 17, 2018, in her 93^rd year.  Beloved wife of the late George B. Sharpe (2004).  Dearly loved mother of Keith Sharpe (Frances) of Sarnia, Ann Moore (John) of Tillsonburg, Taylor Sharpe (Debbie) of London, and the late Lee Sharpe.  Cherished grandmother of Trevor Sharpe (Christina), Erin Moffat (Jamie), Kimberly Sharpe (Paul Leeper), and Krysten Sharpe-Virag (Jamie).  Loving great grandmother of Emma, James, Delyla, Raegan, Lola, and Landon.  Dear sister of Maxine Jones of London, late Rosalie Little, late Ronald, late James B., and the late Wayne H. Paddon (Lois of St. Thomas).  Also fondly remembered by her Godson, Barry Daugharty (Linda) of Dorchester, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.  Born in Niagara Falls, ON, December 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Leila (née Berry) Paddon.  Jeanne moved to London from St. Thomas in 1958.  She was a retired secretary with the London Board of Education.  Jeanne was a member of 427 (London) Wing RCAF Association, and had many friends at Victory Branch #317, Royal Canadian Legion, London.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Monday, August 20^th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 21^st at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Flowers respectfully declined.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
