Obituary of Malcolm W. "Mac" Toner

Of St. Thomas, formerly of Dunnville and Parry Sound, ON, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Saturday, October 19, 2024, on his 78th birthday. Beloved husband of Susanne (née Webster) Toner. Dearly loved father of Daryl Toner (Tawnia Edwards). Loving grandfather of Austin Toner, Bradley Toner, and Chloe Edwards. Dear brother of Al Toner (Margaret), and Carolyn Smith (Larry). Mac is also fondly remembered by his brother-in-law, Bill Webster and by several nieces, nephews, and their families.

Born in New Denmark, NB, October 19, 1946, he was a son of the late Darrold and Thelma (née Christensen) Toner.  Mac was a retired employee of Bell Canada.  He was a member of Union United Church, the Niagara Mustang Club of  Welland, and the Grand River Antique Society of Cayuga.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service to celebrate Mac’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
