Dear Margie, Rob, Mark and the Snowsell family, Dawn and I would like to send our condolences.
Ralph was a wonderful person, parent, neighbour, friend, and certainly co-parent. He was a good family man and a significant contributor to the community through his teaching and coaching legacy.
I have very fond memories of Ralph throughout the 60s and 70s as our families grew up together as close neighbours. He was a very kind, giving, respectful, influential, refined, concise, and caring individual.
During those years as childhood best friend to Rob, we had a lot of fun times and experiences together. We were a bit challenging to our parents although Ralph managed us in his usual unwavering way. Some of those lasting memories on Glanworth Ave. were munching snacks watching Sir Graves Ghastly on those Saturday afternoons, the countless summer fun playing tag, diving and sliding in and out of the pool until that one day Ralph mindlessly dove in to recover me from exhaustion. The numerous days playing Hot Wheels on the front porch where Ralph would have to dance around the elaborate track and cars to get in or out of the house. The many hockey trips Ralph brought me to watch and listen as he coached his team to a win. In the mid-70s, I remember the special road trip he took us on to attend the Detroit Auto Show at Cobo Hall. I recollect those rides he provided to school in the old blue Oldsmobile and having to clear off the snow to get an early start for those cold winter morning drives. One unfortunate moment we would all like to forget was the Parkside Valentine’s event …..I will never really know what our parents Ralph, Margie, Lynn, and Dick had gone through. And the last of so many unmentioned memories were the overnight, summer sleepovers in a tent hoping Ralph would not catch Rob and I again sneaking out to play another round of Nikki Nikki nine door. Too many fond memories…….I could go on and on.
Ralph loved his golf and loved Mrs. Snowsell even more. It was evident during my childhood to teenage years. Ralph maintained a lasting, loving relationship with Margie, one which I strive to emulate with my wife, Dawn. It goes without saying Ralph had great examples to develop from. His parents, Ed and Madeline had done a great job with supporting the person Ralph had become. They were good people who made me feel very comfortable to be with. …it may have been due to those Mars bars Ed gave us after every Saturday morning hockey game. Not likely.
It was great to be your childhood neighbour.
Thank you for being part of my life and contributing to who I am today.
Rest in Peace Mr. Snowsell. Dawn and Brian DeNeire

Dear Margie, Mark, Rob and the rest of the Snowsell family, my memories of the Snowsell family go back to 1969 when our family moved to Dunwich Drive. I was fortunate enough to spend time at the Snowsell Cottage out waterskiing and fishing as a teenager. Ralph was the Principal at Homedale for my Grade 8 year one of my most fond memories being a student in the Public Education System. Ralph was a caring. respected administrator who was extremely involved with all the students at Homedale. Margie and Ralph were always very classy and kind to me whenever I was in their presence. I’ve always considered Mark and Rob as two great guys I looked up to as a youngster in the neighborhood of Dunwich, Glanworth, Thompson Ave and the surrounding streets. I had the pleasure of getting to know both Mark and Rob’s children who all turned out to be great kids. Vickie I remember as a very friendly lifeguard at Lions pool and a very involved Mom as a parent at Homedale. Laurie and I attended Homedale tighter back in 1978 and I’ve considered her and her brother to be good friends of mine for years. To a man I had a great deal of respect for going back 45 years Rest Easy Ralph you will be missed.

Dear Margie and family
Gary and I were very saddened to hear of Ralph's passing. Ralph taught Gary in public school and always asked about him when we would meet. Gary remembers Ralph as a true gentleman ;a man full of grace, kindness, positivity and caring.
Ralph was professional, a gifted principal and very humble. He loved Margie and his family dearly. We are certain that your husband, father and grandfather touched many lives in his educational life and in his community. Many of his fellow administrators gathered happily around Ralph to chat and catch up at our ECESPA reunion .
May your special memories be a comfort to you. Sorrow is the tender price we pay for living a life of love. Ralph will be deeply missed and his memory cherished always. Sincere condolences Fran and Gary Wren
