Obituary of Linda E. Ball (nee Smith)

Linda Elizabeth Ball (née Smith), a loving and devoted mother, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2024, in her hometown of St. Thomas, Ontario. She was born on March 23, 1954, to George Albert Smith and Winnifred Mary Smith (née Lupson).

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, John W. Taylor and George F. Ball. Her grandchildren, Lucy, Landon, and Brinn Taylor, were also a very special part of her life. She will also be missed by her siblings, James E. Smith (Rosemarie “Romie”) and Karen E. Sealy (Rick Leeson), as well as her many cousins, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her former husbands, Andrew “Andy” Taylor and James “Jim” Ball.

Linda was the first born of three children. She was a bright child with fiery red hair who later embraced the free-thinker counter-culture of her era. A woman who was a strong and independent person.

During this time of mourning, we will remember Linda for her selflessness, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
