Obituary of Dennis N. Remus

Formerly of St. Thomas and Port Stanley, passed away at his residence in Tillsonburg, ON, at the age of 78. He went to be with the Lord on Good Friday, March 29, 2024.

Dennis was born on February 14, 1946, in Pembroke, ON. He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company of Canada’s Oakville Assembly Plant.

Loved son of Francine (née Rahn) Smith, and the late Elmer Remus. Beloved husband of Debra (née Gardner Williams) Remus, and the late Marion (née Ingram) Remus (1978). Dearly loved father of Kelly Remus (Steve), Neil Remus, Lee Perrotta (Davide), Lisa Robertson (Andrew), and Jason Murray (Esther). Dear brother of Marilyn Bardeau. Dennis is also survived by his grandchildren, a great grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). A service to celebrate Dennis’ life will be held at the Masonic Centre of Elgin, 42703 Fruit Ridge Line, St. Thomas on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place, and private interment will be made in the St. Thomas Cemetery, West Avenue. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
