Obituary of Michael D. "Mike" Vaughan

Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, February 29, 2024, in his 73rd year. Husband of Karen (née Larson) Vaughan. Father of Tonia Mueller (Chad Byrne), Nicole Vaughan (Dee Stanton), and the late Troy Vaughan (1982). Grandfather of Natalie, Jonathan, and Stephen Mueller. Brother of Wayne Vaughan (June), and Mark Vaughan (Diane). Brother-in-law of Ron and Robin Larson, and Brian Larson and Debbie Jones. Mike is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. 

Born in St. Thomas, November 21, 1951, he was a son of the late William “Bill” Vaughan and the late Virginia (née Stocker) Kittmer. Mike was a retired entrepreneur of numerous successful enterprises. He was a member of the St. Thomas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

A service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at the St. Thomas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 451 Wellington Street, on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment has taken place privately in Elmdale Memorial Park.
