Obituary of Kathryn Anne "Kathy" Beattie

Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in her 67th year. Lovingly remembered by her brother Donald Beattie (Barb) of St. Thomas.  Proud aunt of Brandon Beattie (Lauren), Brett Beattie (Bailey), and Lindsay Garner (Brandon).  Cherished great aunt of Bowen, Haven, Aiden, and Alice. Also survived by many cousins.

Born in St. Thomas, ON, December 12, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (née Lyle) Beattie. She formerly worked at the Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, where she made many friends along the way.  Kathy was an avid dog lover, always having a trusted canine friend beside her.  She always enjoyed her family vacations and spending time at a cottage or resort where she was always the last to bed and the first to rise.

Kathy will be remembered as a caring person who was always willing to give her time and support to her family and friends.  We are grateful to everyone who gathered around her to support her during her final days.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  Public memorial visitation will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  A private graveside service will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park.  Memorial donations to the Hospice of Elgin will be gratefully acknowledged.
