Obituary of Donna Ball (nee Stanley)

Of Woodstock, ON, formerly of St. Thomas and Shedden, passed away at Caressant Care Woodstock on Thursday, January 19, 2023, in her 76th year. Beloved wife for over 51 years to the late Donald A. “Don” Ball (Nov. 4, 2021). Mother of Connie Dowell (Kevin), and Tammy King (Blair Ryan). Grandmother of Karlee Csire (Andrew), Emily Ryan King (Braedon Fraser), and the late Megan Dowell. Great grandmother of Rowan Csire. Sister of Jim Stanley (Beverly), Eva Jacques, and the late David Stanley. Also remembered by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born in St. Thomas, ON, February 13, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Vivian (née Ostrander) Stanley. Donna was a retired hairdresser. She was a former member of the St. Thomas Jaycettes and the St. Thomas Junior Women’s Institute. 

Donna’s funeral and committal service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 - 10:50 a.m. The family kindly requests that all those in attendance wear a mask please. Interment will be made privately in Elmdale Memorial Park. Memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
