Obituary of Eileen Barbara Catton
July 28, 1932 – August 2, 2022
CATTON, Eileen Barbara (née Hutchison) - Passed away peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock just four days after celebrating her 90th birthday. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Donald Victor Catton (February 9, 2016) of Hamilton, ON. Dear sister to Eleanor Lyle (late Bruce) of RR1, St. Thomas. Loved aunt of Nancy Chambers (Jim), Paula Seggewiss (George), and Brian Lyle (Kathy), and their families. Eileen is also survived by her three step-children, David (Nancy), Ian (Cathy), and Richard (Jenn), and their families.
Eileen attended St. Thomas schools, Western University, and Teachers College in Toronto. She taught high school in Brantford and London and upon her marriage moved to Hamilton where she supply taught. Following Don’s retirement, they enjoyed many years of travel to their favourite destinations of Barbados, England, and Hong Kong.
Cremation has taken place and a private graveside celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock or the Alzheimer Society will be appreciated. A special and heartfelt thank you to all the kind and caring staff at Woodingford Lodge. Your support and professionalism has been extraordinary.
