Obituary of Ethel Bradt (nee Day)

Of St. Thomas, passed away at LHSC, Victoria Hospital on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald F. Bradt (2009), and dearly loved mother of Holly Bradt, and Jay Bradt. Cherished grandmother of Rachel Rutter, and Amber Rutter (Devon Ralf). She was the proud great grandmother of Jamie Rutter, and Mason Ralf. Dear sister of William G. “Bill” Day (late Carol), Robert T. “Bob” Day (Jo Ann), late Donna McIntyre (late Earl), late Iris Else (late John), and the late Harry E. “Tim” Day (late Jenny). Ethel is also missed by her nieces, nephews, and their families. Born in Rathwell Manitoba, July 5, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Ivy (née Ashby) Day. Ethel was a RPN at the Valleyview Home for many years.

By invitation, a private funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). Interment in the St. Thomas Cemetery, West Avenue.  A properly worn mask is required, and physical distancing will be followed. Memorial donations to Diabetes Canada will be gratefully acknowledged.
