So sorry to hear of Audrey’s passing. She was a great friend of my mother (Betty Jones). They loved their apartments on Parkside Drive and visited back and forth. Audrey used to drive my mom to different venues as my mom was legally blind for 30 years. Audrey was such a sweet lady. She always made my sister and myself so welcome. Thanks for the wonderful memories. Mary Jones-Sawyer and Marilyn Jones-Smith.

Even though we lived in Australia, Grammie visited us here all the time and it felt like we grew up with her and that she was never that far away.
Here are just 6 of our favourite memories of Gram
1. Gram had such a great sense of humour and was easy to joke around with.
2. Waiting for her to arrive at the airport! We laid on the ground and could see all the passengers’ feet as they approached the
exit. We could always spot Gram’s shoes and got very excited knowing we were about to see her.
3. Playing games, especially cards. Our famous Euchre ‘ashes’ series, Canada vs. Australia, in the summer of 97/98 (Aust). We
have no idea anymore who won, it was just so much fun to play. We played at home, and took the cards on outings too, playing at the park and on trips away.
4. Reading stories
5. Making cookies
6. Her smell
As we all got older, we didn’t see Gram as much, but we did manage to come visit a few times and we’re glad that our husbands were able to meet her and that she got to meet at least one of her four great grandchildren from Australia.
Love from Ange and Steph
