Obituary of David J. Austin

Of St. Thomas, passed away in his 65^th year on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, with daughter Bonnie and brother Richard by his side. Beloved husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” (née Fletcher) Austin (2019).  Dearly loved father of Bonnie Hussey (Shane) and Tammy Pardy (Larry).  Cherished grandfather of Kyle (Jamie), Kory (Kelsey), Jaya, and Cole. Proud great grandfather of Jade and Violet. Dear brother of Pat Temple (Fred), Richard Austin (Linda), late Joan Lethbridge (Bill), and the late Jean Fangeat. David is also survived by his family from a previous marriage, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in St. Thomas, ON, April 1, 1957, he was a son of the late Alfred R. and Helen (née Walker) Austin. David was a former employee of Shedden Farm Equipment. A private funeral service was held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, St. Thomas, (519-631-1160) on Saturday, December 18^th, followed by cremation. Memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Elgin Branch or the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
