Of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 31, 2021, in his 78th year.  Beloved husband of Carolyn (née Moore) Martin.  Dearly loved father of Janice Prow (Dan), and Jamie Martin.  Cherished grandfather of Meghan Bachand (Adam), Stephan Prow (Sarah), Jade Prow (Carlos Hernandez), Nate Prow (Victoria Bourque), and Jorie Prow (Bryan Lynam).  He was proud of his great grandchildren, Daniel, Noah, Mia, Ivy and Owen Prow, and Bryce Lynam.  Dear brother of Harold Martin (Janette), Joanne Martin (Sandra Wilson), late Ronald Martin (Ann), and the late Robert “Bob” Martin.  Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.  Born in St. Thomas, ON, May 8, 1944, he was a son of the late Charles and Jessie (née McInnis) Martin.  Jim was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company of Canada’s St. Thomas Assembly Plant.  He enjoyed sitting in his garage and feeding the squirrels, rabbits, and birds that came by each day.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.  Memorial donations to the STEGH Foundation or The St. Thomas- City Animal Services Centre will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.
