Obituary of Wanda Easson

Of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 24, 2021, in her 59^th year.  Beloved wife for 32 years to S. J. “Steve” Easson.  Dearly loved mother of Rose-Anna Awalt (Jay), Crystal Awalt (Donnie), Steven Rivers (Stephanie), Traviss Easson, and Troy Easson-Larson (Grace).  A daughter, Barbara Rivers died in infancy.  Wanda was proud of her many grandchildren.  Dear step-sister of Marilyn McCaskie (Ken) and Yvonne Hughes.  Also remembered by Steve’s mother, Gail Easson, and his sister and her husband, Lynn and Des Irvine.  Born in Toronto, ON, April 14, 1963, she had resided in St. Thomas since 1989.  Wanda worked as a PSW with the VON and was very appreciated by her clients.  She loved and was loved by Jesus.  Wanda enjoyed singing karaoke and playing euchre.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  Wanda’s family will celebrate her life privately.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
