Of RR1, Southwold, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, October 8, 2021, in his 92nd year.  Beloved husband for nearly 67 years to Mary Lou (née Leeson) Brown.  Dearly loved father of Brian Brown (Betty) of Surrey, BC, and David Brown (Kandy) of RR1, Southwold.  Cherished grandfather of Alissa Tanguay (Tim), Shauna Kubossek (Cole), and Matthew Brown (Rebecca).  He was proud of his great grandchildren, Nadia, Dominic, and Jamieson Tanguay.  Also fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and their families.  Floyd was predeceased by his siblings, Ada Morrow (late Clarence), Ruth Hunter (late Clarence), and Mark Brown (late Olga).  Born in St. Thomas, ON, August 29, 1930, he was a son of the late Chester and Ina (née Heidt) Brown.  Floyd was a lifelong farmer.  He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church, St. Thomas. 

 

By invitation, a private visitation will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).  A private funeral service will be held at Eastwood Baptist Church, 400 Wellington St., St. Thomas, again by invitation. Interment in McArthur Cemetery, RR1, Southwold.  As per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO), attendance numbers will be restricted, and a properly worn mask or face covering is required in the funeral home and the church.  Memorial donations to ShareWord Global (formerly Gideons International) or Eastwood Baptist Church will be gratefully acknowledged.
