Obituary of Betty June Graham (nee Kimbel)

GRAHAM, Betty June (née Kimbel)- Of St. Thomas, passed away at the Valleyview Home on Saturday, December 26, 2020, in her 91^st year.  Beloved wife for 63 years to the late Donald F. Graham (2017).  Dearly loved mother of Kim Graham (Sherry) of Port Stanley, Mary Evans (Robert) of Truro, NS, and Susan Graham (Andrew Woodburn) of St. Thomas.  Cherished grandmother of Greg Graham (Tiffany) of Union, Jenny Lee Graham of St. Thomas, Macy Evans of Truro, NS, Alexander Woodburn, and Angelina Woodburn, both of London.  Betty was proud of her great grandchildren, Kellan and Ellis Graham.  Born in St. Thomas, ON, June 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Albert Edward and Lela Mabel (née Ketchabaw) Kimbel.  Betty attended STECI, Alma College, and the St. Thomas Business College.  Following business school, she was employed at the insurance firm of Macdonald-Dowler-King Ltd.  Betty was a lifelong member of Centre Street Baptist Church, St. Thomas where she was involved with the former King’s Herald Mission Circle.  She was a member of the Alma College Alumnae Association and Betty and her husband Don enjoyed being members of Hillbilly Clan #59.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and the interment of her cremated remains will be made privately in Elmdale Memorial Park at a later date.  A private family memorial service to celebrate Betty’s life (a properly worn mask or face covering is required) will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).  Memorial donations to the STEGH Foundation or Centre Street Baptist Church will be gratefully acknowledged.
