We spent a lot of time with Don. Working on items for our local club's auction and activities over many many years. Both at his house and at our house. Thanks for all those friendship years.

Condolences to your whole family on Don's passing. Many of us will remember Don from his long involvement with Scouting in Elgin. He was a dedicated leader for many, many years and that sustained commitment to the Scouting movement was a critical contribution to our community and and a strong and formative experience for hundreds of local boys.

Had some great visits with Don at his home, Bonnie Place and Elgin Manor over the past few years. Was looking through the archives and Don was president of the St. Thomas Numismatic Association for 38 years. On behalf of the club and myself our sincere condolences to the family.

So many memories through the years when our family enjoyed special occasions with your family! For instance, at the end of those wonderful meals consisting of stuffed pork tenderloin and followed by pies for dessert or cake for a birthday, Uncle Don always needed his cup of tea and a few carrots and celery to finish up--a traditional end to the meal! I also remember how much Uncle Don LOVED babies--whenever there was a newborn, he was always the first one in line to cuddle the baby, sitting in a chair with the sleeping newborn, both as happy as could be! Uncle Don always liked to get the updates on the family--in these last few years, he would ask about each member of the Brown side of the family and enjoyed seeing photos of everyone. It feels like the end of an era with Uncle Don gone, but I'm sure he is happy to be reunited with his wife. Perhaps Helen, Don, Marie, and Gord are together right now, laughing and playing a game of cards!
