Dear family of Helen,
My sincere condolences go out to you and yours at this news of Alison's passing into the next phase . She introduced herself to me as Helen and I immediately sensed a calming compassionate kindred spirit...my only regret is that we didn't meet under better circumstances. I'm elated to have known her regardless and will treasure her radiant aura always. The candle lit here is only a symbol of the bonfire of light she emanated...I will honour her memory always, by lighting a taper, once I find just the right one, that will burn slowly, so that by the time its job is finished, I'm sure the pain I feel currently, will dissipate but her smile, warmth and friendship I will treasure....til we meet again.

I had the privilege of working with Alison for several years at Canadian Tire and remaining friends after that. Her joy in the simple pleasures of life was infectious and day trips with her were always fun filled adventures. My sincerest condolences to her family at this difficult time. Alison was a kind, gentle soul with a great sense of humour who will be very missed by many.

I met Alison at the Toronto Embroidery Guild. She was such great company to stitch with and tell stories. I enjoyed her tales of travelling in England with her family, staying in National Trust cottages - it seems so idyllic. Tales from living in the north were particularly enjoyable, in fact I'm pretty sure I had her recite them to other friends. A sweet and lovely woman. My condolences to the family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Alison through the Toronto Guild of Stitchery, and especially enjoyed her company at a seminar in PEI a few years ago. With Alison there was always a lively conversation, I really enjoyed the times that I sat at a table with her. She loved her family, as she liked to share stories of her sister and her mother with me when we talked. She will be missed.

I first met Alison when I was very young, taking ballet lessons from her mom at their house. I remember her welcoming smile and kind nature. When I started high school at CECI we became re-aquainted and I was always struck by her thoughtfulness and sense of humour, aside from the fact she was very smart and you could go to her for any math problem you had. My condolences to her family. Be at peace Alison.

Mr. Beavis, Jennifer, Bruce and Family,
I was so sorry to hear that Alison had passed away. We had reconnected in the past few years, and I was keeping her up to date on our plans for our 40th High School Reunion from CECI that is this year. She was looking forward to seeing everyone again and recounting 'old' stories from our High School days including our CECI band trip to Cuba, in 1978. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule our 40th Reunion for next year due to Covid-19. Alison had a special gift for Math and I recall her racing through Math problems in class to my amazement! Alison, you will be missed by many and for many you truly enriched their lives by being you.
In Sincere Sympathy.
Steven M Payson.(class of 1980 CECI).

I'm so sad to hear that Alison has passed. She was one of my best friends in high school. She was not only very smart, she was kind. The first years after high school we kept in touch by exchanging Christmas cards. Then we lost touch but reconnected thru social media. We got together five years ago when she generously answered the call to help me and my sister prepare our condo for sale. She rolled up her sleeves to hang blinds and assemble furniture. And her sense of humor kept us going that day. She was a true friend.
My sincerest condolences to her father, Mr. Laurence J. Beavis, her sister Jennifer, and her brother Bruce.
I'm so very sorry for your loss.
