Born in St. Thomas, December 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Clara (née Loomis) Sherry. Evelyn lived for her family and her church. Her family were her pride and joy and she poured her heart and soul into enriching all of our lives. She always put her family first and has left us a wonderful legacy. Evelyn was a long-time devoted member of Centre Street Baptist Church, selflessly giving her time to many committees and projects within the church. She preferred to carry out these roles and responsibilities quietly behind the scenes, as was her nature. Evelyn was an avid baker, loyal Blue Jays fan, talented knitter and enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards. A private family graveside service will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park. Flowers respectfully declined. If so desired, memorial donations to Centre Street Baptist Church or Animal Aide of St. Thomas/Elgin (Canada Helps) would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). “To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my Lord” Psalm 25
