Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away at Parkwood Institute, London on Friday, February 21, 2020, in her 67th year. Beloved wife for over 45 years to Craig Travis. Dearly loved mother of John Travis (Ange), and JoAnn Davis (Jeremy). Cherished Ma of Jack, Ainsley, Mason, Olivia, and Chase. Dear sister of Nancy Soper (Richard), JoAnn Orchard (Glenn), and Janet Peters (late Gregory), and dear sister-in-law of Maureen and Grant Moore, and Christine Brough. Leslie is also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and their families. Born in St. Thomas, ON, July 14, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Jonathan “John” and Jean (née Love) Burtwistle. Leslie was employed as a legal secretary with the Sanders Cline Law Firm, St. Thomas for a number of years. She was an avid gardener. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Thursday evening, February 27th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Leslie’s life will be held at the Masonic Centre of Elgin, 42703 Fruit Ridge Line, St. Thomas on Friday, February 28th at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow. Memorial donations to Pets/Friends for Life will be gratefully acknowledged.
