PENIĆ, Marija (née Radelja) - of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, December 1, 2019, in her 67th year.  Beloved wife for 45 years to Stjepan “Steve” Penić.  Dearly loved mother of Suzana Penich (Kevin Berthiaume).  Proud grandmother of Jonathan, Mathew and Sabrina.  Dear sister of Ana Balic (late Nikola), Dragica Komesarovic (Luka), and Angelo Radelja (Karen).  Also survived by several in-laws, nieces, nephews and their families.  Born in Croatia, June 24, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Ana (née Brajkovic) Radelja.  Marija was a former employee of Eaton Yale, St. Thomas.  She was a member of St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, London.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Thursday evening, December 5th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. (Prayers at 8:00 p.m.).  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, 2889 Westminster Dr., London on Friday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m.  Interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery, St. Thomas.  If so desired, memorial donations to The Arthritis Society or Scleroderma Canada will be gratefully acknowledged.
