Obituary of Ervin L. "Erv" Taylor

Of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, November 25, 2019, in his 79^th year.  Husband of Janet (née Ross) Taylor.  Father of Darcey Taylor Vedova (Dean Vedova) and Duane Taylor.  Grandfather of Dani-Lynn Taylor.  Brother of Karen Cronkhite (Dawn) and the late Ivan Taylor.  Also survived by nephews; Scott Brackenbury (Tash), Shawn Brackenbury (Christine), and Kevin Cronkhite (Catherine), as well as many in-laws and their families.  Born in Chatham, ON, July 19, 1941, he was the son of the late Lorne and Velma (née Badder) Taylor.  Erv was a retired farmer.  He was an active member of the Community of Christ, having roles as both Pastor and Elder.  In keeping with Erv’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Friday, November 29^th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Community of Christ, 105 Fairview Ave., St. Thomas where the service to celebrate Erv’s life will be held on Saturday, November 30^th at 1:00 p.m.  Memorial donations to the Community of Christ or the London Health Sciences Foundation re: London Regional Cancer Program will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
