Alice was my cousin (my father was her mother's brother, Binnert VanderDuim).
I never knew Alice, although we met briefly a few times when I visited Ontario.
From what I have heard, Alice's life was not an easy one, perhaps filled with many personal challenges. I have also heard that she had much strength throughout her life and the blessings of many children and grandchildren.
I loved her parents, my Oom Douwe, and Tante Hinke, who would I’m sure have been there for her.
I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to the entire family and pray that angels will fly her home to her eternal rest.
