Obituary of Donald K. "Don" Morrison

MORRISON, Donald K. “Don” - Of St. Thomas, formerly of Port Bruce, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, in his 83^rd year.  Husband of Rosalie (née Wilcox) Shaw Morrison and the late Jeanette (née Visser) Morrison (1996).  Father of Dan Morrison (Cathy), Bob Morrison (Rebecca Soltan), and Shelly Morrison (Lorne Hathaway).  Step-father of Michael Shaw, Terry Shaw (Jessica), Kelly Lewinsky (Steve), and Jacquie McCaulley (Frank).  Brother of Bruce Morrison, Joan Tanton (Bill), Peggy Cooper (Terry), the late Jack Morrison, and the late Fred Morrison (Irene).  Also survived by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews.  Born in Fergus, ON, December 28, 1936, he was the son of the late John “J.J.” and Kathleen “Kay” (née Lawson) Morrison.  He was a retired employee of the London Winery, formerly owned and operated New Life Dry Cleaners & Laundromat, London, and served with the Canadian Armed Forces.  Don was a member of Faith St. Thomas and a member of the Belmont Golf Club.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Sunday afternoon, July 21^st from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, July 22^nd at 1:30 p.m.   Interment in Sparta Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Faith St. Thomas will be gratefully acknowledged.
