Obituary of Manda Nikic (nee Tadijanovic)
NIKIC, Manda (née Tadijanovic), of St. Thomas, formerly of R.R.#7, St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 22, 2017, in her 67th year. Beloved wife of the late Franjo “Frank” Nikic (2012). Dearly loved mother of Pero “Peter” Nikic (Jeanne) of Ottawa, Jozo “Joe” Nikic of London, and Jela “Helen” Susnjar (Davor) of St. Thomas. Cherished Baka of Matthew, Marko, Katica, Kristian “Kiki”, and Antonia. Dear sister of Ana Micanovic (late Ivo), Mara Matuzovic (late Ilija), both of Croatia, late Ruza Grgic (Marijan of Croatia), and the late Marko Tadijanovic (late Janja). Also survived by nephew, Ilija Tadijanovic (Anica) of Brantford, and many nieces and nephews in Croatia. Born in Boce, Croatia, August 25, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Petar and Janja (née Mikic) Tadijanovic. Manda was a retired employee of United Technologies of Canada, St. Thomas. She was a member of St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, London. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Wednesday, October 25th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. (Prayers at 7:00 p.m.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, 2889 Westminster Dr., London on Thursday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery, St. Thomas. If so desired, memorial donations to the church restoration fund will be gratefully acknowledged.
