I cherish the fond memories I have of both Alice and Fred during my time at Trinity.
Once when I was telling the trials of raising teenagers, Alice told me I should take up golf. She said one can easily become lost in the game and can take out your frustrations on the ball.
I never learned to play the game, but did find a way to release my frustrations by bowling.
Cherish the memories you have as a family.
Hugs

I am so sorry to hear of Alice's recent passing. My Mom and Dad (Betty and Roy Clayton) first met Alice and Fred when they all worked at Timken post World War II, and they remained good friends through the decades. I have many fond memories of our families getting together, often just to visit and swap stories. I remember Alice as being bright, warm, thoughtful, generous, and friendly -- a truly good soul. My deepest condolences to the family -- I wish them peace at this difficult time.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Alice, Uncle Fred, Freddie and Mark. We lived in St Thomas too, so we all saw each other frequently. As a kid, I was quite a tomboy. One Christmas only Aunt Alice thought to buy me shin pads for my hockey playing with the boys!! Fast forward many years and I was a wife and mother of a daughter. Aunt Alice made two absolutely beautiful dresses for my girl which I then passed on to our first granddaughter. Aunt Alice was a very special lady. Sending love to Uncle Fred, Freddie and Mark.

I'm so sad to hear of Aunt Alice, (my great Aunt Alice) passing on. I have only wonderful memories of her, especially from my childhood. I remember being in awe of her long hair and braid and finding everything she talked to me about so fascinating. We should all be so fortunate to live such a long, beautiful, love filled life as she did. My heart goes out to Uncle Fred and their kids and grandkids for their loss. I'm sorry I won't be able to make the service on Saturday, I'm living in Mexico and can't make it back, but I will be thinking of you all. Love you Alice <3
