Obituary of Doreen Thain (nee Davis)

THAIN, Mrs. Doreen (née Davis), of the Elgin Manor, R.R.#1, St. Thomas, passed away at her residence on Friday, March 8, 2019, in her 91^st year.  Beloved wife for 65 years to the late Alan E. Thain (2012).  Loved mother of Jim Thain (Suzanne), and Judy Denney (Bill), all of St. Thomas.  Dear sister of the late Marion Parrack (late Donald), and late Vivian Fowler (Harold of St. Thomas).  Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews.  Born in Woodstock, ON, June 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Cory and Beatrice (née Hough) Davis.  Doreen was a former employee of the Edythe Shoppe, St. Thomas and Gorman Rupp, St. Thomas.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A public memorial service will be held at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Saturday, March 16^th at 1:30 p.m.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the service.  Interment in South Park Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
