Obituary of Donna Vachon (nee Clarke)

Of Port Stanley, ON, age 78, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Jean-Claude Vachon (2009). Loving mother of Dawnmarie Leach (Raymond), Diane Leach, and Danielle Bork (Don). Cherished grandmother of Samantha Leach (Andrew Palmateer), Dylan Leach (Staci Otto), Chloé Nevard (Evan), and Riley Leach (Kaitie Schuetz). Donna is also survived by her much-loved niece and housemate, Lynn Demont, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families. She was the dear friend of Ila Hill (Allan Wilson).  Donna was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Clarke, Alfred “Jim” Clarke, Grace DeMont and Barbara Douglas.

Born in St. Thomas, ON, April 8, 1948, she was a daughter of the late William  and Kathleen (née Hummel) Clarke.  Donna was a member of St. Anne’s Parish, St. Thomas and a former member of the Catholic Women’s League of the church.

The funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. (visitation prior from 10:30 – 11:20 a.m.) Interment in South Park Cemetery.  If so desired, please consider a memorial donation to the charity of your choice.
