From the second I moved into our apartment building, Heather took me under her wing and instantaneously became my older sister. She will be missed beyond words. Lucky are those of us who were blessed to have her in our lives. Heather made me want to be a better person. She helped me become a better person. I don't know if I could have without her. I will miss our coffee's, tea's, laughter so much. She touched the lives of so many.
To her entire family, both blood and choosen, my heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all. Sending big hugs, lots of love and healing light.

Dwuane, Brenda, Darryl, Karen and families, we are so sorry for your loss. Heather was one of the most positive and determined persons we’ve known. She never missed sending us a Christmas card and often called by phone. As kids we both enjoyed riding Ginger the pony at our Grandparent’s farm. We were very proud of Heather’s participation in the Special Olympics.
She passed way too young but will be in our hearts forever.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Heather's Family.
She was one-of-a-kind and such a joy to be around, always greeting you with a warm hug and a smile.
My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Heather through the St. Thomas Accessibility Tennis Program several years ago where my husband was a volunteer coach and I came out to assist when I could.
I will treasure the memories I have with Heather both on & off the court;
... going to Rogers Cup with her and the team (getting caught in a downpour the one year which didn't seem to bother Heather one bit).
And of course our year-end tennis party, which you could see her face light up with excitement whenever either event was mentioned.
She will be deeply missed.

Dwuane, Brenda, Darryl and Karen, please know that both Kris and I are thinking of you and all of your families. Heather had a special place in all of our hearts. She was always the same upbeat and happy person. I am going to miss Heather working the room with her amazing memory, calling out everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries. I also will miss her laugh and smiles. Gone too soon but will rest in peace. Definitely missed by all that knew her.

I was so proud of Heather for all she did.
Her weight lifting was amazing and she was sp proud of her wins.
I will miss her and the talks we had.
