A memorial service to celebrate Marjorie’s life will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (Visitation prior from 10:00-10:50 a.m.). Private interment in Orwell Cemetery.

Obituary of Marjorie (nee Antcliffe) Broadhurst

Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in her 88th year. 

Beloved wife for 53 years to the late Gordon R. Broadhurst (2011). Dearly loved mother of Joann Pay, Lorri Broadhurst, Robert Broadhurst (Holly), and Lisa Dye. Loved grandmother of Andrew Pay (Lisa Harrison), Audrey Pay (Taylor Cronmiller), Ian Pay (Katelyn Marchiori), Megan Clark (Steve), Morgan Gillespie (Brad), Mariah Parkins (Kelsey Foley), Ryan Broadhurst, Taylor Grantham, Jonathan Broadhurst, B.J. Dye, Bailey Dye, and the late Robbie Broadhurst. Cherished great grandmother of Zachary Wissink (Miranda Ross), Alyssa Hammond, Aurora Rousseau, Nora Clark, Tommy Clark, Rory Gillespie, and Henry Dye.

Born in New Sarum, ON, February 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Geraldine (née Hepburn) Antcliffe. Marjorie was a retired member of the housekeeping staff at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Marjorie’s life will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (Visitation prior from 10:00-10:50 a.m.). Private interment in Orwell Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin will be gratefully acknowledged.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin for the care and comfort provided to Marjorie during her final six weeks.
