Obituary of Linda "Scooter" McKinney (nee Lale)
Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her residence, on Monday, March 23, 2026, in her 81st year.
Dearly loved mother of James “Jamie” Loucks (Donna), and Krista McKinney Schmid. Cherished grandmother of Connor, Caitlin, Colin, Jessica, and Nolan. Loved sister of Dianne Lale and Ron Lale (Debbie), and dear aunt of Jennifer Titchener and Jeff Lale (Brynn).
Born in England, December 10, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Rita (née Masters) Lale. Linda was a retired employee of the facilities office at the Thames Valley District School Board.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Private interment of her cremated remains will be made in the Union United Church Cemetery. A celebration of life open house will be held at the CASO Station, 750 Talbot St., St. Thomas on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Words of remembrance at 1:30 p.m. To honour Linda, her love of the game and passion for the Toronto Blue Jays, the family will be wearing blue and invites guests to join in wearing blue at her celebration.
