Paula Grove (nee Temple)

Obituary of Paula Grove (nee Temple)

Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in her 73rd year.

Beloved wife for 55 years to Ronald F. “Ron” Grove. Loving mother of Tammy Ferguson (Currie), and Rhonda Farhat (Claude). Cherished Nana of Braiden, Jenna, Darren, Taylor, and Alexa.  Also survived many siblings, nieces, nephews, and their families.

Born in Sarnia, ON, September 7, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Jean (née Hunt) Temple. Paula was a retired pharmacy technician. She was formerly crowned as the Princess of Yarmouth Heights Teen Club.

Paula’s family was extremely important to her, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, by always putting them before her own needs.

Paula’s favourite things to do in life were shopping and taking her family to gift and souvenir shops. She always found profound love in Christmas, and celebrating the Lord by going to Christmas Bazaar’s and gifting ‘knick knacks’ to her loved ones. Furthermore, she loved caring for her garden as she loved sharing her vegetables and fruits, and spending her free time by creating different crafts and artwork.

Paula was always focused on living her life to its fullest extent, without allowing her illness to come between her and her passions.

Special thank you to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, and the Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin for the exceptional care of our mother, wife, and Nana.
