Obituary of Laurine Rock (nee McEwan)
Formerly of St. Thomas, ON, Laurine passed away at Oneida Long Term Care, Southwold on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in her 97th year.
Laurine was the wife of the late Donald Rock (2010), and mother of the late David Rock (2006). She is remembered by her nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as her friends.
Born in St. Thomas, March 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Dora (née Hayes) McEwan Willson. Laurine was a retired office clerk at CPRI, London. She was a member of New Vision Community Church, St. Thomas. Laurine was a member of the former Golden Acres Chapter #305, Order of the Eastern Star, Shedden, and she formerly enjoyed playing bridge at the St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre and St. Thomas Curling Club.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A public graveside service will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park when the weather becomes nicer again (date and time will be announced). If so desired, please consider a memorial donation to the Children’s Health Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
