Obituary of Laurine Rock (nee McEwan) (Updated)
Formerly of St. Thomas, ON, Laurine passed away at Oneida Long Term Care, Southwold on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in her 97th year.
Laurine was the wife of the late Donald Rock (2010), and mother of the late David Rock (2006). She is remembered by her nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as her friends.
Born in St. Thomas, March 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Dora (née Hayes) McEwan Willson. Laurine was a retired office clerk at CPRI, London. She was a member of New Vision Community Church, St. Thomas. Laurine was a member of the former Golden Acres Chapter #305, Order of the Eastern Star, Shedden, and she formerly enjoyed playing bridge at the St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre and St. Thomas Curling Club.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. All are welcome to attend a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas (near the cemetery office, by the Sunset Drive/Wilson Avenue gate).
