Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in her 93^rd year. Beloved wife of the late Lorenzo Marini (1987). Dearly loved mother of Gianna Marini, and Alex “Sandy” Marini (Judy-Anne). Doting Nonna of Daniel Marini. Also fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and their families. Nerina was predeceased by her three sisters; Delfina Romano, Margherita Pulzoni, Barbara Iobbi, and by a brother, Quinto Iobbi.

Born in Mosciano Sant’Angelo, Italy, December 25, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Elisena (née Di Pasquale) Iobbi. Nerina was a retired employee of Clevite, St. Thomas. She was a member of St. Anne’s Parish, St. Thomas. Nerina was passionate about cooking and gardening. She tended to her roses, flower beds, vegetables (especially her tomatoes), and fruit trees with a great amount of care.

The funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. (Visitation prior from 12:00 – 12:50 p.m.) Interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Flowers respectfully declined. Memorial donations to Diabetes Canada will be appreciated.
