Obituary of P. James "Jim" Pearce

Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at LHSC, University Hospital, on Monday, August 18, 2025, in his 82^nd year.  Beloved husband of the late Joanne (née Gibson) Pearce (Sept. 27, 2020). Dearly loved father of Jeff Pearce (Colleen) and Melissa Kneeshaw (Dan). Cherished grandfather of Jamie and Arlen Kneeshaw, Alex and Abby Pearce. Jim is also remembered by his brother, Tim Pearce (late Carole), in-laws, Steven and Janet Gibson, and their families, as well as his friends.

Born in St. Thomas, October 19, 1943, he was a son of the late Donald and June (née Ford) Pearce. Jim worked for many years as an RNA in the Addiction Unit at the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. He was active with Scouts Canada in earlier years.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A service will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas (South Oval Columbarium) on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 3:15 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
