Obituary of Raymond F. "Ray" Marshall

Of St. Thomas, ON, age 79, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Father of Matthew Marshall, Summer Amos, and Christina McLaughlin. Grandfather of Henry. Brother of Robert “Bob” Marshall (Nancy), Mary Ellen Gagnier, Sharon Purvis, late James “Jim” Marshall, and the late (infant) Betty Jean Marshall. Special friend of Bunny D’Avirro.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Don Gagnier and John Purvis, and by a sister-in-law, Betty Marshall.

Born in St. Thomas, ON, March 13, 1946, he was a son of the late Frederick and Agnes (née Harvey) Marshall. Ray was a former employee of the Ford Motor Company of Canada’s St. Thomas Assembly Plant, where he worked for over 30 years.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Memorial donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
