Gone from our Sight
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"
And that is dying...

Dear Henry, Rachel, Jeff and family, I'd like to extend my heartfelt condolences for your loss and wish you moments of peace when you remember the amazing years of Helen's life.
Helen's passing comes way too soon and she will be dearly remembered. I had the tremendous honor of sharing yoga with Helen through DevaTree and what a force she was!! Helen was adored by teachers and kula members in every training she participated in. She was known for her big beautiful open heart and she exuded this warmth that she gave so freely to every one of us. Helen may have been a student during those trainings, but she taught us so much when she shared her stories, wisdom and ponderings. She was a bright light with amazing energy and such a sense of humor! I am forever grateful to have shared in Helen's energy and will never forget her. Rest in peace sweet Helen.

The last time we saw both of you was out in Calgary at Kirk and Jennifer's wedding, and Bonnie and I chatted with you and Helen at that breakfast restaurant. Can't recall the name of it, but the food was really good and our conversation with both of you just flowed. Great memories.

Dear Henk and family,
We can’t believe it yet, in a split second your lives became totally different. Our sincere condolences with the loss of your beloved wife and (grand)mother ❤️ Helen ❤️.
What shocking news last weekend for you and the kids and family, but also for all of us.
We were expecting to see you and Helen in Holland at the end of May while staying a few days at José’s and Harry’s place.
Good to hear that your kids could join you in Ireland to support you and to hold each other during this sad last goodbye.
We will cherish all the precious memories of Helen and your visits to Velddriel.
Together with mum (tante Cisca) we looked back at the photo’s taken in June 2023…so unreal.
Mum is burning her candle and is praying every day for all her beloved ones who passed away and she is sad to know Helen has gone far too early.
We wish you all lots of strength and courage to carry this enormous loss.
