Obituary of Erie Dennis (nee Shepherd)

DENNIS, Erie (née Shepherd), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in her 82^nd year.  She was the beloved wife for almost 48 years to the late Gerald W. Dennis (2001).  Mother of Linda Burt (Glenn) of London, Edgar Dennis (Gail) of Bothwell, and Lana Campbell of St. Thomas. Loving grandmother to Greg, Tracey, Ashley, Tammy, Scott, Brad, James, and David.  Sister of Iris Brown of Ingersoll, late Betty Saunders, and the late Donald Shepherd.  Also survived by a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Born in St. Thomas, ON, January 29, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Marie (née Burdett) Shepherd.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Sunday afternoon, April 8^th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) where the funeral service will be held on Monday, April 9^th at 10:30 a.m.  Interment in Union Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be gratefully acknowledged.
