Obituary of Judith "Judy" Folland (nee Cuyler)

Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Folland (2017). Dearly loved mother of Kim Bender-Finan (Adrian Finan) and Meg Folland, and cherished grandmother of Aaron, Alissa, and Aidan Bender. Judy is also remembered by sister-in-law, Joan Whitehead, Adrian’s children (Adam, Zoe, and Dan), and by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her son-in-law, Jerry Bender, passed away in 2015.

Born in St. Thomas, February 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Margaret (née Golden) Cuyler. Judy formerly taught elementary school. She was a longtime, valued and active member of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas.

The funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. (Visitation prior from 12:15 – 1:15 p.m.). Private interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Flowers respectfully declined.
