Obituary of Joanne Mizon (nee Hillman)

MIZON, Joanne (née Hillman), of St. Thomas, passed away at her residence on Monday, October 30, 2017, in her 60th year. Beloved wife of Donald G. Mizon.  Dearly loved mother of Paul Mizon (Tammy) and Joe Mizon (Carrie), all of St. Thomas, Shawn Kokko (Shannon) of BC, and Tabatha Mizon (Tyler), of St. Thomas.  Loving daughter of Ronald Hillman and the late Ruth (née Axson) Hillman (2016).  Dear sister of Jacqueline Swindall (Steven), Judy Brown (Daniel), Jan Hillman, Robert Hillman (Mary-Ellen), and Raymond Hillman (Elaine).  Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Joanne was born in St. Thomas, ON, July 25, 1958. She was a retired cook at the London-Middlesex Detention Centre.  Joanne was a former member of the St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Joanne’s life at the St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre, 225 Chestnut Street, St. Thomas on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
